LINGUISTIC MEANS OF EXPRESSING WELSHNESS IN ANGLO-WELSH LITERATURE

The aim of the research is to provide a comprehensive linguistic analysis how Welshness manifested in Anglo-Welsh borderland literature, therefore scope means manifestation.
 material for into manifestation was collected from novel Whithered Root (by Rhys Davies) through continuous selection methodology, and then analysed by stylistic method, lingvocultural content as well method sociolinguistic interpretation.
 As result, there have been identified described three methods manifesting fiction:
 1) introducing dialect features speech characters on level syntax influenced Welsh cultural lexis;
 2) metalinguistic description characters’ prism Welshness, which functions an ideological tool identity influencing reader;
 3) using devices, based similarity or juxtaposing contrasting idea, create key elements positive image Wales its values: beauty, creative talent Welsh, their religiousness passionate nature.
